Gary Hartman, AIA

Principal & Co-Owner

Mr. Hartman is a Co-Owner and Principal of Sunlit Architecture LLC, the leading architectural design firm in Crested Butte, Colorado. Originally a Florida native, Gary focuses his creative energies on custom high-end residential, multi-family, master planning and commercial development projects. His goal is to blend the clients needs & vision with unique materials and designs into sustainable, high-end architecture. Throughout his career, Gary has garnered many awards and media attention including by Mountain Living magazine, Timber Home Living magazine, Colorado Homes & Lifestyle magazine and American Builders Quarterly.

When not behind the drafting table, you'll find Gary enjoying the outdoors with his wife, Jennifer, and daughter, Anna. Look for him in Crested Butte on the ski slopes, nordic tracks or mountain bike trails. Or, he may be diving the warm waters of the Caribbean or Polynesia with sharks and stingrays.

Jennifer Hartman, AIA

Principal & Co-Owner

Ms. Hartman is a Co-Owner and Principal of Sunlit Architecture LLC, the leading architectural design firm in Crested Butte, Colorado. Originally from Texas, Jennifer has focused her design talents on the design of custom high-end residential architecture, ranch master planning & architectural design, and commercial Golf & Ski Area design. Jennifer enjoys orchestrating the collaborative process with clients, builders and craftsmen to create unique and timeless homes & projects. She brings a passion and expertise for space planning & the myriad of details that bring a project to life. Throughout her career, Jennifer has garnered many awards and media attention including by Mountain Living, Luxe, Timber Home Living, Colorado Homes & Lifestyle magazines, and American Builders Quarterly.

Jennifer enjoys travelling with her husband, Gary, and daughter, Anna. And look for her in Crested Butte on her snowboard or on the mountain bike trails!

Angela Arnold, AIA

Architect

Ms. Arnold joined Sunlit Architecture LLC in 2023 with the firm’s expansion to Tyler, Texas. She brings with her a myriad of design experience from K-12 and higher education facilities to commercial developments and muti-family projects. After recently designing and building her own home, she is excited to bring her design sensibilities to meeting client needs and vision in the creation of custom high-end residential projects as well as commercial development.

In her spare time, you’ll find Angela outdoors with her family tending to their garden or hosting a community group at their home. She is also quite taken with the beauty of Crested Butte and enjoys visits there, with the exception of driving mountain roads.
